A BEAUTIFUL DARWIN WEDDING.

Happiest Friday!

A couple of weeks back, Patrick and I flew up to Darwin for the weekend to attend the wedding of a childhood friend of his. In a nutshell, it was a pretty amazing weekend. We left a dark, freezing-cold Brisbane (SUPER) early Friday morning, and arrived in beautiful, warm, summery Darwin that afternoon = so lovely.

A bunch of Patrick's friends from his hometown also made the trip over, so it was kind of a mini-reunion and SO much fun to have everyone there. It was also so nice to spend time with my friend, Michael (and his beautiful wife) who I've known FOREVER, since I was a baby. (FYI-- Patrick and I are from the same small town, so we kinda know a lot of the same people).

And the wedding was absolutely beautiful...pretty much my dream! Patrick's friend and I agreed we should all just pretty much copy Shaan & Carlo's wedding from now on-- ha! Such a fun night x

It was also the first time I had visited Darwin and I gotta say, I'm a fan of the whole "no winter" thing. Being outdoors at night in June with bare shoulders was heavenly. I would definitely love to get back there again one day soon.

Yipeee....it's the weekend! Hope yours is the best x

PS. I have a few more photos from our trip to share in a later post x

A few more photos from our weekend away; Mother's Day brunch; Patrick's brother's march-out parade (he is off to Afghanistan soon); our friends absolutely beautiful new baby girl.

Yesterday was the first day of Winter, and yep, we're definitely feeling the coldness here now-- but I'm finding it so hard to believe it's June already! Slow down year, will ya now?

In other news, I'm so happy (and relieved, and thankful) to share that I am finally permanently employed again. I have been contracting at a charity organisation since February, and I'm going to be completely honest, I have had to work so hard to get this job-- but it such a nice feeling that all the hard work was worth it. I love working for a meaningful purpose, and the people there are really great. And the best thing is that, at this point in time, I know this is right where I am meant to be.

Hope you are having the best weekend-- it's gloomy and rainy here, just the perfect weather to be at home! x
