IT'S INSTAGRAM FRIDAY.
HAPPY FRIDAY! I realised the other day I hadn't done an instagram post in AGES, so I thought I'd do a little collage this time, seeing I had about a bazillion to share.
Do you have any fun weekend plans? We're not up to much-- probably just a day at the beach, seeing the weather is pretty darned amazing at the moment! I'm starting another full-time contract job for a few weeks on Monday, which means this weekend is a little more precious than they have been lately!
Hope your weekend is merry x
PS. If you're on instagram too, my username is 'rachbro'-- you should definitely look me up!

OH, HI THERE PANDA.
Is this the cutest little mug you've ever seen? At that time of the morning when you're just not quite awake yet and wishing you were still in bed, I think his little panda face would make you smile. You can buy him here.
Happy Thursday! x

THE PHILIPPINES PT 3: PICTURE PERFECT BORACAY.
The day after Christmas, we went with a whole bunch of Patrick's family to Boracay for a couple of days. If you're not used to it, travelling anywhere by road in the Philippines is pretty much a nightmare-- it honestly took us about 10 hours (including one very bumpy ferry ride and one crazy van driver) to get less than 300km's.
But even though the weather wasn't too kind, Boracay was amazing-- I'm talking 'white sand beaches and beautiful crystal-clear water' amazing. Not to mention the cheap massages, cheap drinks and YUMMY, cheap food. It's also super, duper touristy (no thank-you, I really don't want to buy a pair of fake ray-bans!), but we'd definitely go back there in a heartbeat when we visit the Philippines again. Just not travelling by road next time ;)

HAPPY LOVE DAY.
I saw these song lyrics the other day during my internet trawling and thought they were perfect for today (something I think we forget sometimes!).
I hope you're having a happy little day of love-- I know that some people get a bit sad/hateful/angsty about valentine's day, but what's not to love about a day celebrating love? Not just for loved-up couples... but with your family, good friends, kiddos, or anyone that puts that sparkle in your eye.
We're having a belated weekend away for Patrick's birthday/our anniversary/valentine's day in a couple of weeks time-- can't wait :) x

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK.
Happy birthday, my love!
The last few years with you have been the happiest I've ever been-- you let me be myself and you make me feel 100 percent safe and secure and I will never stop being thankful for that.
PS. You also have a very nice bottom.
Love you bazillions xx

THE HUNGER GAMES.
Have you jumped on 'The Hunger Games' bandwagon yet? I read the book (plus the two sequel books, 'Catching Fire' and 'Mockingjay') while we were on holidays, and I couldn't devour them quickly enough! I was a little anti-social, because I honestly read each one in a couple of days. They are definitely a young-adult type book, but I loved them :)
Just incase you get as excited about these things as I do (such a dork!), the new trailer for the movie came out today and I'm so excited to see it. Both of the trailers are above, incase you haven't also seen the first one. The release date is March 23, 2012 in Australia.

THE PHILIPPINES PT 2: FAMILY, FIREWORKS + FOOD.
We spent most of our time in the Philippines staying with Patrick's family in Bacolod City. Without having instagram/bloglovin/facebook/twitter to amuse me (no internet at home), it was refreshing to just read a book all day (I read 5 on my kindle!), hang out with Patrick's cousins, or watch the local boys play basketball outside (Patrick even joined in a couple of times). We also ate SO much yummy food-- rice, 3 times a day, and I'm pretty sure I ate my weight.
We spent Christmas and New Years there as well-- which was kinda crazy! It seemed like everyone in the neighbourhood was letting off LOUD fireworks right outside your window every two minutes for days.
Some other random stories:
• I was pretty much covered in mosquito/ant bites the whole time. I even got EIGHT on my butt.
• Patrick's iPhone got pick-pocketed right out of his shorts pocket while we were on a jeepney (public transport) into town. Not nice. Thank goodness for travel insurance!
• We also attended a wedding while we were there-- it may have involved karaoke-style singing.
• Nothing wakes you up like a cold shower every single morning!
Happy Thursday-- and happy February! x
