THE PHILIPPINES PT 1: AIRPORTS + PLANES.
I just realised this morning that it's the last day of January-- WHOA...um, when did that happen? So I thought it was time to get off my butt and pay my poor, neglected blog some love!
I promised to share some photos from our trip away to the Philippines and I thought the best way to do it would be in parts-- so here is Part 1. Even though I have had enough of them right now (just for a little while at least), I love airports and I love getting on a plane to go somewhere. Usually for me, it means I'm on holiday, or on my way somewhere exciting. The world looks like a different place from a tiny plane window.
These photos were taken at Hong Kong International Airport-- after the first of 3 flights on our way to our destination. We were pretty darned tired, but I made sure to change my clothes and wash my face/brush my teeth etc so I felt a little less crumpled! Our flight leaving Hong Hong was business-class (yeah.. we're not rich, but we booked our flights last minute and that's all that was left!)-- the leg room!, the food!, the huge seat/beds!-- not going to lie, it was pretty amazing.
Happy last day of January-- hope you're a little less freaked out than me :) x

HAPPY NEW YEAR (PS. I'M BACK!).
Happy New Year, fellow bloggies! We finally got back home from our trip to the Philippines last Sunday-- it felt like we were gone for so long! I've spent the last few days wading through piles of washing, sighing over our still-unpacked suitcases and working on a few little design jobs-- but I have a bazillion photos and stories to share in upcoming posts, including:
• My first (and probably only!) business class, international flight experience
• One pick pocketed, stolen, iPhone
• Way, way, WAY too much yummy food
• Seven long hours on a bus... which only travelled about 200kms!
• Scuba diving in the most beautiful coral reef
• So many warm, relaxed, lazy days
• An unexpected, one night stay in freezing (but beautiful) Japan.
Hope you have the best kind of weekend-- I'm hoping the rain stays away for a little bit of beach time x
