Recently, Patrick and I took a little roadie down to Byron Bay for a weekend we'd booked months and months ago. I had also been looking forward to it for months and months; even if they're still way off, I love having little trips planned. It's nice having things to look forward to.
The weather has been a bit on/off lately-- lots of beautiful, warm, lovely days mixed in with a few dark, windy, cooler ones. We were lucky to get two of those nice days, even if the nights were fresh.
I loved visiting somewhere I hadn't been in a l-o-n-g time, it's fun exploring new (or forgotten) places. For us, this involved expensive but yummy takeout pizza; walking everywhere we needed to go around town; drooling over beautiful homewares in cute boutique stores; and soaking up the lovely sunshine outdoors all day.
Just realised it's only about 7 weeks to go until Christmas-- YIKES! x

ReplyDeleteCool place for sure. ... I didn't realize that Christmas was that close! It seems so far away when I don't think of it in a manner of weeks. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, though. On my way to work this morning, I passed Monument Circle (in Indianapolis), and they are already dressing the area for the holiday.
