PHOTOBOOTH FRIDAY: ROUND EIGHTEEN.
I'm actually a little surprised that today is Friday-- this week kinda flew by! Just my favourite kind of week :) Happy Photobooth Friday-- as you can tell, I'm still loving my new glasses (o_o) !
Came across this little video that I wanted to share, about what makes people happy. It made me smile when I heard some of the answers, and it made me think about what I would say if someone asked me that question.
Whatever you get up to this weekend, hope it's filled with your happy things x

THE BETTER TO SEE YOU WITH.
Last night when I got home from work, I was excited to see a little package from Clearly Contacts waiting for me. Last week, I discovered they were having a $38 sale for a complete pair of prescription glasses-- umm, what a deal! Even though I just bought a new pair at the optometrist not that long ago (and paid A LOT more), I thought "why not?" and bought this pair last Friday.
Two days later!-- here they are and I LOVE them. I usually wear contact lenses and don't like wearing my glasses very much, but I think these ones might get a LITTLE more wear than my old pair :)
(PS. If you are a fellow glasses-wearing friend, I would definitely check this out. Some other awesome online glasses stores are here and here).

A FOOTBALL GAME + SAVING THE UNIVERSE.
Just a couple of photos from the weekend. I have been borrowing my mum's SLR a bit, but I am ITCHING to buy this one for our very own. I am definitely an amateur, but we have been talking about getting one for ages and I'm so dissatisfied with my point-and-shoot lately. Time to save!
Like I said, our weekend was pretty quiet. We went along to Patrick's sister's boyfriend's (what a mouthful!) football game on Saturday afternoon and nearly froze our butts off on account of the arctic breeze-- but warmed up afterwards with a yummy burger at Grill'd. Most of the rest of the time, we hung out and relaxed at home and Patrick got stuck into saving the universe (AKA playing a computer game on the mac). I'll admit, it was hard not to get sucked into the storyline and want to save the universe as well ;)
Hope the start of your week has been content x

I LOVE MONDAYS.
Ok, so maybe it's not ENTIRELY true, but positive thinking and all that... right? :)

PHOTOBOOTH FRIDAY: ROUND SEVENTEEN.
I took this photobooth photo earlier this week and behind me sits our (messy) suitcase, waiting to be unpacked after our weekend away. Any else hate unpacking as much as me? Ugh.
So-- it's Friday!! Do you have anything planned for this weekend? Aside from a couple of errands, we are pretty much plan-free as of right now-- which sounds just about perfect to me.
Whatever you do (or don't) get up to-- hope your weekend is swell x
(Print is available here).
A LEISURELY BREAKFAST.
Weekend breakfasts would nearly have to be my most very favourite meal of the week. If we are at home and have nowhere to be in the morning, we will always sit down and have a yummy, hot, home-cooked breakfast, some orange juice and a coffee for me (Patrick makes the best scrambled eggs).
It's making my tummy rumble just thinking about it! Do you have any favourite breakfast foods?
Hope you're having a most pleasant Friday - Photobooth Friday post coming later today :) x

A WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY.
Ahhh Monday, you again. So, how was your weekend? As I mentioned on Friday, we started out the weekend with the very last Harry Potter movie-- excitement! Obviously, I LOVED it (and I think Patrick even did a bit too).
On Saturday, we headed out of the city for a weekend away with some friends. I can't even describe how lovely it was to be out in the countryside and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. It was such a breathe of fresh air-- so peaceful, quiet, and refreshing (even with four kids running around!). The weather was quite cool and misty, but so very cosy inside next to the fireplace. I'm already looking forward to going back there again.
Hope your week starts off like a dream x

PHOTOBOOTH FRIDAY: ROUND SIXTEEN (+ SOME BLOOPERS)
Happy, happy Friday! What are you all up to this coming weekend? Tonight we're going to see the very last Harry Potter movie and I'm both super excited and devastated at the same time (I'm a die-hard fan remember?). Not that you can really see it in my photo above, but I even wore my black cape/cardigan today ;) I told you I was a die-hard fan...
And tomorrow, we're heading off to a country log cabin for the weekend with friends. I'm really looking forward to spending some time outside of the big smoke and I'll definitely be taking lots of pictures to share :)
In other news-- I was cleaning out my trash on my work computer and found a WHOLE bunch of photobooth photos that obviously didn't make the cut! I don't even remember pulling half these faces, but here are a few of the bloopers (WARNING: overload of photos of my face!).
Have a super weekend x

CITY SILHOUETTES.
I pinned these beautiful photographs by Jasper James on my pinterest a little while and thought I would share them.
So very peaceful and lovely (they remind me of some photos Patrick and I took in a fancy hotel we stayed at in Tokyo) x

SUMMER DRESS DREAMING.
Warmer weather is still a little while away for us here and frankly, the idea of bare skin seems ridiculous. But lately, I have noticed that several stores have started stocking new swimwear (and winter clothing is going on sale). This got me excited about new summer dresses-- surely they can't be far off? In the meantime, here are a few pretty summer dresses from my favourite online stores. I am dreaming of lunch at the coast, barbeques with friends, sunny days at the park and balmy nights out x
1 - Once in a Blue Bloom dress, 2 - Spontaneous Adventure Print dress, 3 - Weekend Visit dress, 4 - Mountain Orchard Pocket dress, 5 - Dancing on the Dunes dress, 6 - Surely Sherbet Print Collar dress, 7 - Pick of the Bouquet dress.

KRISTOFFER KRAKSTAD.
I was reading this post the other day about Mayhem Magazine, who are based in Townsville (where I lived for a while).
While flicking through the latest issue of their online magazine, I came across this amazing series called "While They Sleep" by Kristoffer Krakstad.
(You can find Kristoffer on facebook, his blog, or flickr)
PS. Click on the images to see them larger-- I'd recommend it for maximum viewing pleasure :)
