WEE LITTLE STITCHES.

I am pretty much in love with wee little stitches-- yep, coolest thing I've seen all day, hands down. Whoever said that cross stitch was old fashioned? Check out their clever little etsy store here or their shiny new blog here.

VOVÔ.

This is a lovely little animation I came across, by Luiz Lafayette Stockler. Just a warning: it brought tears to my eyes and I really don't mean to be such a sad-face for a Tuesday-- but I wanted to share it anyway, because most of us have had someone like this in our lives x

IN A NUTSHELL.

• Last week, two of my birthday presents from Patrick arrived (yipee!). First, was a delicate personalised necklace from jeneri jewelry. It's got our initials on it, and it's my new favourite piece of jewellery :)

• Second to arrive last week was my very first toy camera. I decided I wanted this one from poketo after this post and I can't wait to get snapping. I will definitely be sharing photos here :) (If you have any tips, please let me know-- it's been awhile since I've used an analog camera).

• This weekend, we finally made it to IKEA and bought ourselves a much-needed, shiny new shelf. It makes such a difference to the space it's in and we're very pleased with ourselves indeed. Of course, no trip to IKEA is complete without at least one unnecessary purchase right? AKA my new vacuum flask.

• I am finally the owner of a pantone mug-- and it only cost $1! woohoo!

• Last Friday night after work I had to meet Patrick in the city, and we randomly decided to have dinner at Little Singapore. I nearly died with happiness when I saw they had authentic roti canai on the menu and I'm pretty sure I must've said "this is SO good" about 50 times while I was chowing down ;) I love finding new favourite restaurants.

Hope your Monday is kind xx

PHOTOBOOTH FRIDAY: ROUND TEN.

This morning I was awake before the sun was even up. There's definitely something very lovely about that time of the day-- it's quieter and more peaceful. But, I'll admit, it's not a time of the day I see very often.

It's turned colder again round these parts, so today I'm warming my hands with hot coffee. Tonight, I'm thinking that a hot, soupy ramen is on the menu. Ok-- so maybe there are SOME nice things about winter ;)

Have you got any fun weekend plans? Hope your Friday is super x

DELECTABLE.

How amazing are these art pieces by Ed Bing Lee? I know they're made of waxed linen, raffia and shoelaces, but they sure are making me feel hungry right now :) Especially that pumpkin pie... wish we could get it here in Australia!

Check out the rest of the series here (found via the shillington graphic design blog - where I went to college, yippee!).

WITH LOVE.

I think I need to buy this to hang on my wall.
(It's available here if you feel the same way!) x

LATELY.

LOVING:
the crispest apple juice in the cutest triangular-shaped bottles; motorbike rides with my love (even if I did get wet knees because it started raining); finally getting to wear my new toms-- comfiest shoes on earth!; yummy cheesy margherita pizza on a lazy night; sleeping in on weekends; lovely- and unexpected- birthday presents (Tara, I'm talking to you); finding an awesome new restaurant at a catch up dinner with out-of-town friends.

Hope your weekend was super x

PHOTOBOOTH FRIDAY: ROUND NINE.

Happy Friday :) Today I've got this cheesy smile on my face because:

1- it's Friday.. yipee! weekend = this close!
2- it's lovely and warm outside right now
3- today is going by so very fast, and that makes me excited because..
4- it's Friday! hurray!

(I think I just used up my exclamation point quota for the day- ha).

I'm not sure what started the topic of conversation, but last night when we were lying in bed, Patrick and I were talking (ok-- maybe I was doing most of the talking...) about how it's funny the way so many smaller details fall into place to land you right where you're at. It's amazing to think sometimes how different things might have been, if not for one minor factor. Whether you believe in God or fate (or neither), I loved this reassuring little quote x

RUCHE.

I purchase mostly all of my clothes online, so I was quietly very excited to stumble across the pretty little boutique, Ruche. I was even more excited about their more reasonable shipping costs, which is sometimes not-so-nice for us out here on the island (AKA Australia) ;)

They have the loveliest vintage-inspired clothing, and I honestly could have bought every second piece. Oh, and how dreamy are these pictures from their lookbook 'Unending Love'? His hand on her face melts my little heart!

PS. Do you have any favourite online clothing stores? x

ONE AUTUMN NIGHT.

It feels like it's turned to winter here overnight. All of a sudden, I can't survive without my ugg boots and I have sadly said my goodbyes to my bare legs.

Saturday night we decided to go out for dinner at Ginga (favest place for sushi AND they play anime on a big screen.. high five!) and afterwards, dessert at Denim. One of our favourite colder weather activities is getting rugged up and going to Denim. There is something a little bit lovely about sitting outside next to a heater with a hot drink-- but more to the point, their hot chocolate is amazing and they have THE tastiest cheesecakes ever. I'm not even exaggerating... we pretty much compare every cheesecake we eat to the cookies'n'cream cheesecake we once ate there ;)

Hope you all had a happy little weekend x

PHOTBOOTH FRIDAY SUNDAY: ROUND EIGHT.

Today's Photobooth Friday is brought to you a couple-a days late, on account of blogger being down. This was taken last Sunday, the day before I turned 28-- now that I am actually 28, it really ain't so bad after all ;)

In other news, one of my very favourite stationery stores, Kikki-K, have released the sweetest new collection called 'Ingrid & Friends'. If you are a little owl fan, you can check out the rest of their cute range here-- yep, I pretty much want one of everything. But I think Viktor is my favourite. I especially enjoy that his name is spelt with a 'k' :)
