GET WELL SOON XOXO.

So, it's Friday... but there's no Photobooth Friday from me today. All of the excitement and public holidays this week have thrown me off my regularly scheduled blogging and on top of that, this morning I woke up with that "uh-oh, I'm getting sick" feeling (AKA a sore throat and stuffy head). Sick photobooth faces aren't so nice.

I almost N-E-V-E-R get sick but Patrick has been sniffling and coughing all week, so I guess there was no escape. Lucky for me it's the weekend (YAY) and we have yet another public holiday on Monday (YAY x2), so I have an extra day to get better :)

If you're feeling a bit under the weather like me, here are a few little things that might cheer you up (all sources below) x

pretty paper flowers (that will never wilt)

a cute and super organised herbal tea kit

vintage-esque soup mugs, to warm your hands and your tummy

pretty much the most adorable tea cosy ever

a happy little plant for your windowsill or desk

a funny get well card

HAPPY WORLD GRAPHIC DESIGN DAY.

So, who's going to bake me a cake? (don't worry, let's just keep it low-key...there's really no need for a marching band and a parade).

Happy world graphic design day, designer-y peeps! x

FIVE DAY WEEKEND: ROUND UP

Well I'm just going to go right ahead and say it-- five-day weekend, I love you. I don't even really have those "day before you go back to work" blues (y'know, the kind that usually sinks in on a Sunday evening) cos it's been such a refreshing little break. Cue contented sigh.

Like I mentioned, Patrick had to work most of Easter, so unfortunately we didn't get to jet off on any wild adventures, pout. But we did get to celebrate ANZAC Day yesterday with Patrick's brother and sister. We dressed up a little fancy-like (my love in a suit + his medals = all kinds of handsome) and got into the city early, which was really kinda nice. It was quiet and peaceful and there was a different (respectful?) feeling in the air. I loved that I got to be a part of it. After the h-u-g-e parade was over, we had some lunch and carried on into the night-- as you do ;)

On a side note-- I might be about a thousand years behind the times, but just incase: girls, if you ever need to get a little fancy for an all day/night occasion, but don't want to inflict pain and suffering on your feet by wearing heels, I am a new fan of the wedge heel :) Still not as plain comfy as a flat shoe, no, but the flattering effects of a heel + no bruised toes the next day? Yes please!

Happy short week x

PHOTOBOOTH FRIDAY: ROUND SIX.

me, and all 500g (yep, you read that right, that's half a kilo) of hello panda yumminess!

Today's Photobooth Friday comes to you from the comfort of my own home, where I'm still in my pj's. We're having an extra lo-o-o-ng five-day weekend here because of Easter + ANZAC day and it sure is a nice feeling :)

Do you have a long weekend too? Any fun adventures? Patrick has to work- sad face- so I have plans to do some long overdue re-organising and a cull of my wardrobe to sell on ebay (which I am actually quite keen about, just quietly!). But we will be going along to the ANZAC day parade in the city on Monday because Patrick is ex-defence force and I'm kinda excited to see him all dressed up with his medals on.

Last night, we stayed up to watch Sixteen Candles on tv-- why have I NEVER seen that movie before? It's officially one of my new faves. I couldn't help but notice that I would probably wear half the clothes they wore in that movie (which was made in 1984) and how p-r-e-t-t-y was Sam's floral crown? Jake Ryan is also still quite the dreamboat ;)

Have a happy and relaxing Easter break (and just for a sec, don't forget why we have Easter) xx

FUNNY BUNNY.

The sweetest little bunny ring-- just in time for Easter! Honestly, I'm pretty sure you couldn't get any cuter. (You can find him here.)

STINA PERSSON.

Happy hump day :) How AH-MAZING are these watercolours by Stina Persson? Not to mention the striking colour combinations. Yep, I am officially inspired.

(PS. you can see the rest of her beautiful portfolio here).

LATELY.

LOVING:
favourite restaurants; spending a lazy day with best friends, their cute & funny little girl and their bun-in-the-oven; warm, tasty comfort food on cold days; frankie in my mailbox; my nearly birthday (the fun birthday stuff, not the 'getting older' part!); the comfiest dress e-v-e-r (in the loveliest shade of raspberry); toasted banana bread and hot beverages.

A VERY RAINBOW MONDAY.

It's grey, rainy and a bit cooler round these parts today-- and to top it all off, it's Monday. But happy colours always make the day seem brighter. Get a little rainbow in your life x
