INSPIRED

I have decided I want to learn how to knit.
I'm pretty sure I knew how, once upon a time - I have vague
recollections of knitting a frilly, pink coat hanger cover
in primary school.

Love these amazing book shelves - imagine how beautiful
the smell of books would be in these rooms.
Yep, I think I would pretty much just live in there.

These guys are my new favourite coffee shop.
I was so, so sad to be leaving our favourite coffee
shop in T-Town (Dominion, in the city), but then we randomly
found Zarraffas -- somehow, I'd managed never to go there before.
Their caramelised mocha = heaven.

I'm missing summer like a fat kid on a diet misses cake.
I kinda forget what my bare legs actually look like cos
they haven't seen much of the sunshine lately.
Honestly, Winter - I really wouldn't mind if you decided
to leave early.

How beautiful is this delicate jewellery? I'm not really
one for many adornments, but I would wear any of these -
so tiny and so pretty. In fact, I bought the little
ring with wings at the Finders Keepers markets last
weekend and I looove it - you can also buy it online here
(you can find the other pieces here and here).

Yep - I'm a total sucker for graphic design geek tees.

I love these amazing inky, watercolour pieces.
There's something kinda peaceful, but also
dramatic about them (they make me think of a
slowed-down, amazing, climatic fight scene
in a japanese movie or something. Am I strange?)

The world always seems brighter
when you make something that wasn't there before.

SUPER DUPER KAWAII FUN

(My brothers and I when we were little kiddos)

So it's my brother's twenty fifth birthday today - happy birthday Gav :) We're all going out for a fam dindin tonight to a Himalayan Cafe in the Valley - I've never actually eaten Himalayan food before, so it's an adventure!

It's only about two and half months now until our trip to Japan - hooray! We've still got lots of planning and booking to do before we go, but I'm super excited and can't wait. I've been getting pretty excited about all things Japanese lately, and much to my extreme delight, whilst trawling the internets today I found this awesome online Japanese photobooth over at Puricute. Yep, that's right - get ready for all things soft-lensed, sparkly and rainbow coloured, with way too much over-the-top cuteness. Lots of cheesy, time-wasting goodness :)

Here's one, in honour of Gav's birthday, complete with sparkles
(bet he feels all kinds of special):

And here's a couple of my boy and I
(pretty sure he's going to kill me for this!)

Love it x
