MY FEBRUARY.

5- the most refreshingly new bridal magazine on the block (my new fave)

10- our cute new little blurb photo book; thanks to fat mum slim (I love it!)

12- goodbye summer; I miss you so much already

The end of February is always a little sad because it means the end of summer for us peeps here in the southern hemisphere, and-- I'm not going to lie-- I'm pretty darned blue about it. Although I will also admit that I have spied quite a few lovely, cosy knits lately that could ease the pain a little :)

Gosh, am I ready for the weekend! x

We've had a pretty quiet weekend. It has been grey and rainy out, so it was very hard not to be just a little lazy. Although I have had the chance to do some design work, and we did manage to get at least a bit of cleaning done!

At about mid-afternoon today, the sun finally decided to show it's face for the first time all weekend, so I opened up our bedroom windows wide to let the light in. Sunlight and fresh air = happiness.

CUPID'S DAY.

This song is one of those songs that gets stuck in my head. Yep, total sucker for a melancholic song right here. Anyway, I thought it was kinda perfect to share for Valentine's Day. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll even get struck by a pretty waif cupid and fall in love with a stranger on the street x

It was Patrick's 30th birthday last week. We are really not the kind of people that make a big deal out of things, but it was the big 3-0 and all, and he deserved something special, so aside from birthday gifts, I also surprised him with a night at a fancy hotel. We even ordered room service and had a buffet breakfast the next morning-- pretty much our favourite things about hotels!

Over the weekend, a few of our very lovely friends planned a little surprise birthday dinner too-- complete with yummy homemade japanese food, birthday cake and even a couple of cute helpers to blow out the candles.

Happy birthday my love-- I think you are the bees knees x

Gosh my fella is a good looking one!

Last weekend, we woke up to one of those beautiful summer days-- perfectly blue clear skies, a nice breeze and not too humid. Far too amazing a day to spend it indoors; so we decided to be tourists-in-our-own-town and drove up to Mt Cootha for an outdoor lunch with a view. And even though we were totally stuffed, we somehow managed to make room for Max Brenner on our way home! My favourite kind of afternoon :)
